My Music Roll Punch Machine
A computer controlled music roll punch machine!
The punch is really a CNC machine! I know that sound complicated,, but really its not!
You find a Midi file that you want to punch and thru some manipulation of the file it is converted into a file that will run the machine!
All the manipulation is done by programs that are shareware and after you have worked with them for a couple of hours its pretty easy!
The pictures you see below represent, well kind of a work in progress as they were taken as the original punch was being built/designed so please forgive the rather rustic appearance.
I am currently working on the second version of the punch which will defiantly look better :)
I do have instructions and drawings for sale so anyone,, well almost anyone can build one too!. If you are interested, drop me a note and I will get back to you ASAP
The "Plan" includes all the information necessary to build the punch machine and where to get the necessary software.
The information booklet contains 40 + pages of text, drawings and photos it is in MS Word format
All photos are in JPG
All drawings are supplied in both JPG and DXF formats
